Our research indicates that demand for medical tourism will accelerate in 2023 due to global travel resuming. At Dr. Helps, we expect to see an increase in Medical tourism as pent-up demand will need to be met in the coming years. Dr.Helps will focus on outreach to partner healthcare facilities to streamline care for our patients.

US hospitals prefer the simplicity of patients that can pay upfront for their care. This is exemplified by hospitals providing up to 65% discount to patients that are not using third party payers. A Federal Law that effect in 2022 provides foreign nationals an ability to research healthcare cost for hospitals operating and simplifies medical tourism to the US. The “Transparency in Coverage” regulations aims to foster a competitive market for patients to seek treatment.

Health Dilemma
Healthcare shortage has created global competition for professionals such as Nurses, Physician Assistants, Physicians, and Dentist. This competition has created circumstances where the World Health Organization projects 18 million professional shortage by 2030 pre-pandemic. Africa is the most vulnerable regions with 36 of its 57 countries in dire need of health workers according to Forbes.

Medical tourism will increase due to supply and demand dynamic in the coming years. DrHelps will focus on patient outreach to create a adequate case load for our partner facilities to schedule out.

The summer of 2021, we launched Dr.Helps.com a Global Health Tourism Company. The company has created a directory of medical facilities that have met the strict requirements of the Joint Commission International accreditation body. These Healthcare Facilities have helped care for international patients with compassion.
